Workshop "Collection and Organisation of Literary Texts in Early Medieval Manuscripts"
8. Februar 2018
Am 19. und 20. Februar 2018 findet am Centre for the Study of Manuscript Cultures (Warburgstraße 26, Hamburg) der Workshop "Collection and Organisation of Literary Texts in Early Medieval Manuscripts" statt. Im Rahmen dieses Workshops werden Prof. Dr. Philippe Depreux, Horst Lößlein und Christoph Walther über die Formelsammlung von Angers sprechen und die jüngsten Ergebnisse des Langzeitvorhabens Formulae - Litterae - Chartae vorstellen.
Informationen zum Workshop:
Manuscripts containing early medieval Formulae are witnesses of an interaction between documents of different kinds, dealing with juridical matters as well as with topics intimately linked with education; collections of Formulae are often in community with glossaries, grammar, theology and even poetry. Based on this finding we want to explore the organizing principles of multi-text-manuscripts beyond Formulae collections especially in regard to the fundamental question of random accumulation vs. planned collection. The workshop will offer the opportunity to compare diverse corpora and to look for similarities and diversity.
